AIF funds vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in the Luxembourg marketplace.

Although they are already represented in Luxembourg with numerous vehicles in the form of UCI or non regulated vehicles, the recent trends have demonstrated to local administrators and depositaries that alternative investments are an asset class with totally different features and sources of risk requiring specific skills and operational processes.

In this context, PwC's Academy is pleased to offer this dedicated training designed to provide Luxembourg professionals with a comprehensive overview of the latest industry trends, as well as a thorough analysis of sector-specific issues and best practices.

This training is coordinated by Déborah Prijot, Partner at PwC Luxembourg.

Déborah is a partner in the audit department. Since joining PwC in 2005, she has gained experience in different industries. In particular, she has developed strong skills in auditing alternative investment funds (including debt funds, infrastructure funds and fund of funds).

She is actively supporting the PwC Luxembourg alternative group. She is currently focused on private equity clients through the audit of several private equity funds and structures organised under various legal forms.

Valerie Tixier, Partner at PwC's Luxembourg has an overall experience of over 19 years and her client's portfolio mainly comprises private equity funds and structures. She is specialised in investment management and is responsible for private equity funds within PwC Luxembourg.
She is also course responsible for PwC Luxembourg private equity funds clients’ training and regular speaker in conferences or events in relation to private equity. In addition, she is the partner part of our AIFMD core group with respect to private equity matters.

Johan Blaise is acting as a partner in the Audit department. Since joining PwC in 1999, he has gained experience in both medium side and international assignments. In particular, he has developed strong skills in auditing investment funds (including hedge funds), with a large focus on the private equity industry. He is actively supporting the PwC Luxembourg private equity group.
He is currently focussed onprivate equity through the audit of several private equity structures organised under various type of companies (SICAR, SIF, Part II funds, holding) as well as through the review of the valuation of the funds participations (review of the fair market value using different valuation methods, application of the EVCA guidelines, etc.).
