Practising Self-Introductions in English - Débutant (SCI-COMMU-1 2024/2025)

The primary objective of this course is to enable beginners to effectively introduce themselves in formal (e.g., professional) and informal (e.g., daily life ) settings. The course aims to build learners' confidence in spoken English to motivate their ongoing language acquisition.
Key skills covered include: Introducing oneself, talking about personal details, and socializing

Language skills required to achieve objectives:

• Basic vocabulary for self-introductions: personal details, common phrases
• Basic grammar: sentence structure, use of "be," "have," present simple, pronouns, and possessive adjectives
• Pronunciation
• Listening comprehension: understanding questions and extracting key information
• Reading and writing
• Speaking: developing confidence and fluency
• Role plays
