Phygital learning

Last update : 18.12.2023

Definition

Instructional model based on the interaction between a physical space (a learner using connected virtual reality tools) and a digital space (an online interactive environment) to create an immersive learning experience.

Comment:

  • In phygital learning, connected objects trigger physical reactions from digital actions (for example the movements of a learner watching a hologram), and physical sensors, when triggered, produce digital outputs (for example the measure of learner’s reactivity);
  • phygital is a contraction of "physical" and "digital".
