"Upskilling has become, more than ever, the indispensable response to the ongoing technological and economic transformation. It is an essential element of a new ‘social contract’ which the new technological changes require if we want them to represent an opportunity for all." Nicolas Schmit, European commissioner for jobs and social rights.

Digital transformation, climate change, demography are all transformation drivers and game changers in how companies, society and individuals need to look at the evolution of jobs, skills needed and career paths.

Upskilling is a tangible and concrete response to the challenges of workplace transformation while supporting competitiveness and employability - in one word, growth for all.

All these transformations are accelerated by the COVID crisis putting upskilling at the heart of leaders' priorities.

Our lead experts have developed an experiential training in which participants will explore the topic and be able to reflect on how to put it in practice in their own environment.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • understand and explain the links and interdependencies between business transformation strategies and people strategies;
  • explain and comprehend the concept of upskilling, its challenges and opportunities;
  • build their own case for upskilling within their organisation;

This training is coordinated by Vinciane Istace, Partner at PwC Luxembourg and delivered by People and Organisation experts.

Vinciane has been with PwC for more than 30 years and became head of the firm’s HR department in 2003 after having worked as an Auditor and Chartered Accountant. In her executive role of human capital partner then leader, she structured PwC HR operational capabilities, and co-designed and deployed the firm’s HR strategy.

She is currently the leader of the People and Process Outsourcing (“PPO”) practice, proposing assistance to our clients in the field of payroll, immigration and HR administration driven by high quality standards and of the People and Organisation (P&O) team, providing HR advisory services from HR strategic design to implementation.

She also has the privilege of acting as the Diversity and Inclusion leader for PwC Luxembourg. In that role, she ensures the deployment of the D&I ambition.
