Legal aspects of tokenization

Participants should have intermediate knowledge about blockchain and tokenization.

At the end of the course, the participant will be able to have a view of the legal framework surrounding tokenization, and in particular security tokens.

• Understand the difference between security tokens and other types of tokens from a legal perspective
• Have a view of the Luxembourg legal framework applicable to security token offerings
• Understand the different rights that can be embedded in security tokens
• Have a view of the current legal initiatives in the EU

The course gives an overview of the legal aspects surrounding tokenization, with a focus on security tokens.
