Objectifs

This course will equip participants with the foundational skills, knowledge and attitudes to effectively to enable them to reduce and better cope with stressors in their lives covering both personal and professional part.

Contenu

By the end of the intervention Learners will:

  • Understand and identify stressors.
  • Comprehend the nature of stress and recognize various personal and workplace stressors through self-assessments and discussions.
  • Develop effective stress management strategies
  • Apply a range of stress management techniques, including healthy lifestyle habits, time management, relaxation, and mindfulness practices.
  • Enhance workplace stress management skills
  • Identify and cope with workplace stressors, improve communication, manage interpersonal conflicts, and promote a supportive work environment.
  • Cultivate a growth mindset and having more resilience.
  • Foster a growth mindset, build resilience, and integrate physical activity and humor into daily routines to reduce stress and enhance overall well-being.

  • Types of stress: Acute vs Chronic Vs Eustress
  • Famous catastrophes caused by stress – historical examples
  • Activity: Self-assessment: “Are you stress addicted?”

Formative Assessment

Module 2: Identifying Your Stressors:

  • Physical and mental effects of stress.
  • Activity: “What’s your stress style?” – Self-assessment.
  • Converting from stress type A to type B (Strategies & techniques; E.Q).
  • Activity: “What causes you stress?” Group discussion and sharing ideas.

Module 3: Recognizing and managing stress:

  • Common stressors (Brainstorming and discussion).
  • Group Discussion: Sharing real-life workplace stress scenarios.
  • Building resources to cope with pressure at work and home.
  • Tips on coping with people and saying no assertively.

Module 4: Managing stress with Healthy Practices:

  • Adopting healthy lifestyles habits.
  • Time management techniques for reducing stress.
  • Relaxation and mindfulness practices (TEAND & WAIT methods)
  • Activity: Deep breathing exercises and importance of laughter.

  • The importance of exercising and improving fitness.
