Goals

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is certainly the most significant personal data legislation in the past 20 years.

The aim of this training is to help the participants understand the impacts of the GDPR on the legal and compliance functions to adapt their activities and working programme accordingly. It is also designed to address the management of personal data by these departments under the GDPR requirements.

By the end of this training, the participants will be able to:

  • explain the key points of the GDPR applied to the legal and compliance functions;
  • enforce the GDPR on personal data in the scope of legal and compliance functions.

This session will give an overview on:

  • the GDPR and the related regulatory framework;
  • the key items to consider when updating the legal agreements in relation to GDPR;
  • how to enforce the GDPR in a compliance programme;
  • best practices to manage personal data in a legal or compliance team.

From daily operations to regulatory compliance, Frédéric Vonner has been helping local and global asset managers, fund service providers and banks to successfully run their businesses for nearly 20 years. Areas of focus: UCITS, AIFMD and GDPR regulations, private equity & real estate, organisation setup and review, project management.

Audrey Rustichelli heads the Technologies & IP practice at PwC Legal. She advises clients on a wide range of information technology and communications matters and has extensive experience in IT agreements, internet, e-commerce and telecommunications issues.

From the very early stages of her career she has been advising clients in relation to privacy matters and data protection issues and is now very involved in assisting and managing GDPR compliance projects for local and multinational clients.

She also assists clients in the area of media law, including marketing, advertising, market regulation and unfair competition and is involved on a regular basis in the tailored drafting and negotiating of commercial agreements.
