The Master Black Belt Certification Programme is designed to assess existing Lean Six Sigma Black Belts in their leadership, coaching, communication, knowledge and problem-solving skills.

The programme is designed to test both the interpersonal and technical skills of the candidates that are essential to be a successful Master Black Belt.

Teaching methods

Pré- qualification Requirements
  • 3 x operational excellence projects in which you have taken a leadership role, documented as A3 reports or similar format
  • Reference from a manager or director who worked with you while a Black Belt

Evaluation

A 3-hour proctored online exam with both open-ended and multiple-choice questions on the MBB Body of Knowledge.

MBB Accreditation Board Interview

  • Deliver a 15-minute presentation about one of your Black Belt projects to a live panel of peers

International Lean Six Sigma Institute (ILSSI) Master Black Belt Certificate

Additional information

MBB Application Phase 1:
Once we are sure that you are the right fit for this program, your 3 project documents will be reviewed by our panel of Master Black Belts and we will schedule you to take the Master Black Belt exam.

MBB Application Phase 2:
Having successfully passed Stage 1, we invite you to attend a certification board of ILSSI Master Black Belts. You will also be required to make a presentation to the board about a project or a topic related to Lean Six Sigma.
Once our certification board is sufficiently confident that you meet the standards required of a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt you will be awarded your ILSSI Master Black Belt certification.
