Goals

In Luxembourg, businesses are required to provide upon request from the Luxembourg VAT authorities with a Standard Audit File for Tax (SAF-T), known locally as Fichier d'Audit Informatisé de l'AEDT (FAIA). FAIA is a standardised electronic format for exchanging accounting data, designed to facilitate tax audits. Understanding FAIA is crucial for ensuring compliance with Luxembourg's VAT rules and avoiding potential penalties.

This training aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively prepare and submit the FAIA files, ensuring compliance with Luxembourg's VAT obligations.

  • understand the SAF-T (FAIA) requirements in Luxembourg;
  • identify the data to be included in the FAIA files;
  • learn how to anticipate and prepare the FAIA files for the Luxembourg VAT authorities;
  • ensure compliance and avoid penalties.
