Prerequisites

This session will build on the Sustainable Finance (Foundation) course - but we will recap on the fundamental points, so the course is appropriate for those without any prior knowledge.

Goals

The regulatory tide in relation to sustainable finance is rapidly rising, with the European Union introducing significant reforms in order to meet the three core aims of its sustainable finance agenda: (i) encouraging more investment into sustainable activities; (ii) preventing greenwashing; and (iii) making the financial sector more resilient to ESG risks. The upcoming reforms will fundamentally embed ESG into the investment process and will have direct or indirect ramifications across the investment cycle. For all participants of the financial sector, it is crucial to anticipate the impacts that these changes will have on their businesses and their set-up.

Contents

This training is designed to give you an insight into the main ESG regulations. It will cover the three core texts being the Disclosure Regulation, Benchmark Regulation, Taxonomy Regulation and give an overview of other upcoming ESG regulatory changes, including to MiFID II and the AIFMD/UCITS Directive as well as certain product level developments.

Certificate, diploma

At the end of the training, a certificate of attendance will be available either on your client account or on demand to the customer service.
