Although no pre-requisites are needed for Foundation level; It is highly recommended for course participants to obtain the following publication as it is critical to their success in the foundation course:

The COBIT® 5 Business Framework for the Governance and Management of Enterprise IT course introduces the candidate to the five basic principles covered in detail and includes extensive guidance on enablers for governance and management of enterprise IT. Also included is a supplementary guide outlining the foundation concepts of a process assessment model (PAM) based on the ISO 15504 approach which replaces the previous CMM (Capability Maturity Model).
