Inhalt

This course provides an in-depth description of how to be an effective supervisor and/or make the transition into the supervisory role. It clarifies the knowledge and skills how and why supervisors must transition from primarily being a “doer” of tasks to a “director” of others to perform tasks, and how their source of work satisfaction must change from “self” (accomplishing tasks as an individual or part of a team) to “staff” (enabling others to succeed as individuals or as a group).

The course includes an assessment of participant’s current level of supervisory skill. The program also addresses the unique dynamics that must be addressed when one is promoted from within a group compared to coming from outside a group. The program clarifies the nature of these realities and how supervisors can make the transition more smoothly and carry out the supervisor role more effectively.
