How to transform limiting beliefs on formal and informal power in order to live your full potential

The main focus of the training
  • From power to strength is to create awareness on how you act.
  • To what extend do you behave out of power, and in which situations do you act out from your inner strength?
  • The goal is to gain insight in how power mechanisms work and how this impacts the quality of your relationships.
  • By the end of the course participants will be able to apply tools to act out from their inner strength.

Inhalt

  • Definitions of power, authority, strength
  • Your convictions, beliefs, ideas and principles related to power
  • What is your experience in dealing with power?
  • Why do you act out of power?
  • Exploration of your (limiting) beliefs concerning power
  • Relational pitfalls:
    • You tend a pitfall to others
    • You fall in the relational pitfall others tend to you
  • Different kind of relational pitfalls: means of punishment and reward
  • What to do when acting out of power or when others act out of power towards you?
  • Tools to improve the connection with your inner strength
  • Summary and action plan

Teaching methods

The used method of introspection and dialogue fosters the participants’ awareness and helps them to reflect on the way they act out of power or out of inner strength.

  • includes different approaches (dialogue, writing, creative expression, pictures,...)

Meet the Consultant, Mrs Thea Bombeek

Thea is Founder of Winner Resources, Belgium, an executive coach, facilitator and former Learning and Development expert and coach at KPMG. During a 17 year career in the banking industry, she developed a passion for everything to do with personal growth.

She is

  • Historian of Art (University of Ghent) and holds a Master in Human Resources Management of the Management School of Antwerp (UAMS);
  • past President of the International Coach Federation Belgium;
  • visiting lecturer at the Sociale Hogeschool Ghent and at Leren over Leven for future coaches;
  • Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by ICF and Certified Transformational Presence Coach by Alan Seale; and she completed many other trainings.

During her 20 years of corporate experience, Thea gained a nuanced view of the complex challenges facing global business leaders. She has coached and trained many executives, mainly from multinational companies. Clients include Alpro, Baxter, BNP Paribas Fortis, Décathlon, Frutarom, ING, KBC, Mediamarkt, Nu skin, Oxlane,Turtle Wax, University of Ghent, Volvo, and many others.

Thea’s coaching expertise includes authentic leadership, communication skills, personal and corporate values, intercultural and organizational culture, the art of motivating and influencing, women in leadership positions. She likes reading, classical music (opera) and enjoys meeting people from different cultures and discover nature by walking and trekking.
