Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (CLOUD2002) - Blended learning

No prerequisites.

This course is designed to provide you with the fundamental basics of the Microsoft 365 offering. It covers the basics regarding the products provided with a subscription to the Microsoft 365 cloud platform.

You will gain fundamental knowledge about the considerations and benefits of adopting cloud services and the Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud model, with a particular focus on Microsoft 365 cloud service offerings.

You'll start by learning the fundamentals of the cloud, and also get an overview of cloud computing.

Then, Microsoft 365 will be introduced and you will learn how Microsoft 365 solutions improve productivity, facilitate collaboration and optimize communications.

You will then see how security, compliance, privacy and trust are managed in Microsoft 365.

This course prepares you for the MS-900 certification.

Candidates will learn these core skills:

• Differentiate between the various cloud service models.
• Identify the key differences between Microsoft 365 and Office 365.
• Plan for migration to Microsoft 365 services.
• Identify key differences between Microsoft on-premises services vs. Microsoft 365 cloud services.
• Define enterprise mobility in Microsoft 365.
• Identify how Microsoft 365 services provide collaboration.
• Understand identities, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid identity.
• Understand cloud device management and protection, including the use of Intune.
• Understand data protection, including the use of Azure Information Protection.
• Describe compliance in general and the compliance features in Microsoft 365.
• Describe Microsoft 365 subscriptions, licenses, billing, and support.
• Prepare for MS-900 Certification.

FOR WHICH TYPE OF CAREER?

For someone at the beginning of their technology career, the Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification can help ease the transition from a less technical role to a more technical role. But without industry experience, the certification may not be enough to get a job.

For learners who are new to cloud-based solutions and services or new to Microsoft 365.

Or, if you're in a technology, IT help desk or software support position. And, for example, you've been learning to use Microsoft Azure on your own, and you want to have a general understanding and recognition of the skills you've learned.
